This one’s for Facebook and Instagram, mainly. But it can be applied to any feed-like social media platform that allows image or video ads.
If you have an image ad, you can still get the benefits of animation. Here are some examples of how you can animate the image so that it loops:
Animate the text in the image
This one is often used…Apply an animation to the text; Maybe it swipes in, or “types out” the letters. Or perhaps part or all of the text is shaking. Imagine a big label that said “25% Off Sale” and the 25% was rocking back and forth.
Make a faux button or CTA text “float”
A floating animation where a specific element that you want to call attention to is moving up and down slowly to give it the appearance that it’s weightless and floating. This can be applied to a faux CTA button like “Buy Now” or even just an element you want to call attention to, like a “Money Back Guarantee” sticker overlaying the product image.
Use a stock video in place of a stock photo.
Does your ad contain a scene of a beach perhaps? Look at stock video libraries instead of image libraries. You may find a similar asset that’s a video instead where the water and waves are moving back and forth on the beach. It really adds to the experience!
